<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible">The<span style="font-weight:bold;"> HTML source</span> command switches to a mode which shows you the source text of HTML pages. You only see this command when an HTML document is open.</help:help-text> Before you are able to convert a newly written document into an HTML source, it must be saved as a web page (HTML).</p>
<p class="Paragraph">In HTML Source mode, you can view and edit the <help:popup Id="65629" Eid="tags" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">HTML</help:popup> <help:popup Id="65629" Eid="html" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">tags</help:popup> and save the document as a pure text document. Assign an .html or .htm extension to designate the document as HTML.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">The <span class="T1">HTML Source</span> command is also available in the <help:popup Id="65630" Eid="kontextmenue" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">context menu</help:popup> of an HTML document. If the view was changed to the HTML source, the context menu command has a checkmark and you can switch back to normal view by clicking the command.</p>
